Story behind the song

This song about the baptism of the believer was written by 70x7 founder B.J. Collins and his son, Bo Collins, way back in 2000.  At the time, Bo was only eight years old, and scribbled down the words of the chorus in his notebook while attending St. James School in Wilkinsburg.


The words were solid, so his dad helped him finish his song by writing the music, and also finding some scripture from the book of Acts, and those became the verses of the song.  Over the years, the song was rarely performed, but for the second Sunday of 2021, when many churches around the world commemorate the baptism of Jesus, the two of them recorded the song, along with violinist Bob Banerjee.  The 20-year-wait is over!
