Homeless Balloon's music is ambient jazz with a mix of ambient grooves, chill out, electronica, acoustic and world beat.
Homeless Balloon is the music project of Norwegian composer, musician and multimedia artist Helge Krabye. He has composed original music for more than eighty television documentaries, radio plays, fantasy stories and art projects. He is known for combining acoustic instruments with experimental, electronic sounds. He is also a dedicated user of the innovative soft instrument MetaSynth. Homeless Balloon released two CD's in 2007 and four more in 2008. They are available in the iTunes Music Store, at emusic.com and from Homeless Balloon's official site. Story behind the song
Originally composed for a fantasy story in National Radio in Norway. Thanks to Arnfinn Christensen for his beautiful performance on Recorder.

Hello Helge, Sorry I didn’t get to this earlier. Sound Click was having problems yesterday, and hampered my ability to do so…. Anyway, back to “Ancient City”… I like the slow groove and mood you set here, relaxing and intriguing at the same time. The intro put me in mind of those rain sticks (the ones that, as you rotate them, they make a sound like rainfall), really cool effect. The song brought the visual of exploring some undergrowth ruins an a jungle rainforest, and I think this is what you were going for ( if so, you achieved it brother). Nice use of percussive effects, and the rain was a pleasant touch! God Bless Brother Ron
